PASA Announces Major Facility Improvement Project Partnership
Pickerington, OH — The Pickerington Area Soccer Association (PASA), a long-standing pillar of the Pickerington community since 1973, is proud to announce the start of a significant improvement project at its game facility. Formerly known as the Pickerington Youth Soccer Association, PASA has been almost entirely volunteer-run since its inception, with decades of dedication resulting in countless enhancements to its grounds and programming.
Over the years, the facility has seen major developments including the construction of a concession stand, field expansion on once-wooded land, installation of field lighting for evening games, continual upgrades to equipment, fencing installation spanning over a quarter mile, and, most recently, the addition of a soccer-specific entrance and parking lot.
Today, The Pickerington Area Soccer Association (PASA) is taking another major step forward. In partnership with the Pickerington Youth Athletic Association (PYAA), the City of Pickerington, and Violet Township, we are beginning the next phase of its long-term vision to serve local youth and families. Starting Thursday, July 10, the main entrance and parking area of the facility located at 630 Hill Rd. N. will close to undergo major construction and replacement. This project will include:
• Widening and extending the main entrance to include turn lanes
• Full paving of the existing parking area
• New striping and directional lanes for improved traffic flow and parking
This portion of the facility will remain closed through at least August 4, weather permitting. During construction, the Courtright Dr entrance located at 138 Courtright Dr. E. will remain open and accessible for all summer programming.
“This project represents one of the most significant improvements to our facility in PASA history,” said the PASA Board of Directors. “We are incredibly grateful for the support of the City of Pickerington, Violet Township, PYAA, and all the individuals and families who have helped bring this vision to life. If your child has ever played sports in Pickerington, chances are their journey began right here—with PASA and/or PYAA.”
This is more than just a construction project—it’s a community milestone. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to enhance this space for generations to come.
